Operational parking permits (carers, non-carers, clergy and teachers)

About your permits

Operational permits are issued for one year, and four types are available:

  • Clergy
  • Carers
  • Teachers
  • Non carers

Any permit issued for all zones should only be used for visiting within the borough, not for parking at your base of operations.

Clergy

  • For clergy or church workers whilst on church business
  • Free of charge

Carers

  • For people who care for a relative or other person resident of a zone

Teachers

  • For teachers and classroom assistants in a school with an Approved Travel Plan
  • Not valid on weekends if the controlled parking zone is in operation

Non carers

  • For people that need to park within a zone to perform their day-to-day duties (nannies, cleaners, private workers)
