Information and Reference Library Facilities
Study spaces and reading areas
There is study space with seating for over 35 people in the Riverside Room. For less formal study, armchairs and sofas are available in the Information and Reference Library. Additional seating may also be available in the Seminar Room (bookings permitting). Laptops may be used on site but there are only a limited number of power points at present.
A free WiFi service will become available in 2013.
Free computer and internet access
Over 20 PCs are available and may be booked for up to two hours a day.
- Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)and Internet access on all PCs
- Colour or black and white printing
- Scanners
- CD Burning software on all computers
Computer access is free but there are charges for printing and photocopying. We also sell a range of stationery itmes including USB sticks and CDs.
IT Computer taster sessions
If you're new to computers or want to learn a little more about using a PC, library staff provide 30 minute taster sessions free of charge Monday to Saturday.
