The London Development Agency

The London Developent Agency(LDA) is one of nine Regional Development Agencies established by the Government to promote economic development in England.

It is funded by the Department for Business Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (BERR). The LDA's structure is different from other Regional Development Agencies because of its relationship with the Mayor in respect of:

  • Board appointments
  • Strategy setting
  • Reporting

The Greater London Authority Group includes:

  • The London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority
  • The Metropolitan Police Authority
  • Transport for London.
