Funding for Voluntary Organisations

The Council invests over £10million a year in the voluntary sector through a combination of contracts, grants and support in kind, largely as part of the commissioning process.

The Council’s corporate grants programme is being transferred into the Council’s mainstream commissioning strategies. This means that the Council no longer has a grants programme and funding is being allocated through the service leads e.g. adults, culture, environment etc.

The Council’s grant programme has now closed. The Voluntary Sector Grant Awards lists all grants made between 2010-2012:
