Memorial seats (parks)
Dedicated or memorial seats can be placed in most of our parks and open spaces, and they are a long-lasting and appealing way to commemorate a special event or a loved one.
We provide sturdy traditional, all-wood oak seats with your personal message, hand carved on to the back rail of the seat or etched in to a steel plaque.
Please note there are no spaces available in Terrace Gardens, Terrace Walk or Buccleuch Gardens.
The Council does not manage Marble Hill Park (telephone 020 8892 5115), Richmond Park (telephone 020 8948 3209) or Bushy Park (telephone 020 8979 1586).
Price details
Seat: "Kensington" oak seat 1.8m (6 feet): Approx £1000
Hand carved letters: Letters carved into the wooden back rail of the seat. The Minimum charge (up to 30 letters) is £56.00. More then 30 letters is charged at £2.50 per letter.
Plaques: Stainless steel, flush-fitted: £85.00 for up to 5 lines, 36 characters. For more than 5 lines/36 characters £128.00.
Carriage: £68.50. Delivery is between 8 - 10 weeks.
A formal quote will be prepared for each seat request showing a breakdown of the costs. Prices do not include VAT and is payable at 20%.
The seats are securely fixed into the ground using an approved method. However, we are unable to accept liability for theft or damage to the seat.
