Station Road, Barnes parking improvements

We are introducing changes to parking restrictions in Station Road, Barnes to improve accessibility to Barnes Station. These will come into effect on Monday 16 October 2023.

Operation times

Parking will be controlled between 8am and 6.30pm, Monday to Saturday. During the controlled hours, those who wish to park must either pay by phone via RingGo or display a valid CPZ B1 parking permit.

A drop-off area allowing parking up to 30 minutes will be located close to the Barnes Station entrance and new extended lengths of double yellow lines will be introduced to create passing areas which will improve traffic accessibility.

Monitoring the changes

These measures will be introduced under an 18-month experimental traffic management order, during this period we will monitor the effectiveness of the measures and feedback received from the community which will determine whether the scheme is made permanent or modified.
