Cycling training for pupils with Special Educational Needs

We have joined forces with Aiming High from Achieving for Children, and have secured some limited funding to run specialist one to one cycling training within primary schools.

About the training

Training is offered in small group ratios or one to one for disabled children and young people who are unable to learn how to ride a bike in a large group, and therefore have difficulties to enrol on our standard Bikeability Level 1 and 2 courses.

These sessions are usually planned during school time as the allows Learning Support Assistants to attend.

Eligibility

To take part, children must:

  • Fulfil the DDA definition of SEN
  • Attend a school in Richmond or Kingston
  • Be aged between 9 and 12

How to book

Please contact the Safety Education team to arrange sessions.
