Employment Land Studies

We have commissioned a number of studies since 2006 to examine employment land and premises in the borough. These provide advice on policy direction, an audit of existing employment land and premises, and future supply, an analysis of the local economy and likely growth/contraction, and potential gaps in provision.

2017 study

The findings confirm that there is a chronic shortage of employment land in the borough. There is a strong case for the Local Plan to resist loss of all existing employment sites unless they are inherently unsuitable.
