Report damage caused by contact with tree parts

Use this form to let us know about damage to your property caused by tree parts such as branches.

You will need

• details of when and how the damage occurred
• photographic evidence of the tree itself, any fallen parts of the tree and the affected area of your property
• at least two quotes for the cost of repair or replacement

Documents submitted as attachments should not exceed 8MB in size.

What happens next

Your report will be validated within 7 working days. You will receive an acknowledgement as part of this process.

Valid reports will be assessed by an arboriculturalist within 28 working days, who will investigate and submit findings to the Council’s insurers. The insurers will then review the claim and may seek clarification or supporting documentation if necessary.

The insurers then make a final decision on liability.
