Ham Common

Ham Common connects with Ham Avenues and Ham Common Woods and is designated as a Local Nature Reserve.

About the park

Ham Pond is the Common’s focal point, and it dates back to when horses were watered on the Common. Nowadays the pond attracts children and parents who enjoy feeding the ducks.

Community events and cricket matches are often played in the summer. 

Visiting the park

Ham Common is accessible at all times. The nearest train stations are Richmond and Kingston, and the area is served by the bus routes 65 and 371.

Public Space Protection Orders and byelaws

All council-managed parks and open spaces are covered by Public Space Protection Orders and formal byelaws, to help us reduce antisocial behaviour and breaches of dog control orders.
