Renew a visitor parking permit (Twickenham Event Zone only)

A permit can only be renewed if your name and address remain the same, as in your original application.

If your name has changed, or you have moved to another address within Twickenham event zone (R), you will need to apply for a new permit.

Before you start

The quickest and easiest method is to renew your permit online.

If you have a Richmond Account, you will be sent a reminder email, at least one month before your permit expires.

If you do not have a Richmond Account (or your permit is not linked to your Richmond Account), you will be sent a reminder by post, at least one month before your permit expires.

If you have a valid parking permit, you can log in to your Richmond Account and follow the on-screen instructions to link it.

What you will need

Before you begin your application you will need to ensure you have:

Received a renewal email

If you were sent an email you should then login to your account to renew.

Or received a renewal letter

If you received a letter you will be asked to enter some of the details from it:

  • your 13 digit reference number*
  • your vehicle registration number
  • your postcode

*If this code does not work your permit may have expired. If this is the case you will need to complete a new application.

Lost reference number

If you have lost your 13-digit reference number, email parkingpermits@richmond.gov.uk to request a replacement, within the 14 day period (after your permit has expired). This will be posted out to your address.

Read our Twickenham event zone (R) visitor permit guide, for more about permit expiry.

Submit your renewal application

The easiest way to apply is online. Once you complete your application you will be sent a reference number (which begins with FS). Please keep this safe for any future correspondence related to your application.

What happens next

You should receive your new permit/s by post within 10 working days. If you have not received your permit after this time, you can contact us on 020 8891 1411 during office hours, or email parkingpermits@richmond.gov.uk.

When you get your new permit

When you receive the new permit/s you will need to ensure that it is correctly displayed in your visitor's vehicle. Failure to do so could result in the issue of a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN). Read our guide to find out how to use your Twickenham event zone visitor permit.

Receipt

Once you receive your permit/s you will also receive a letter, which includes a printed tear-off receipt. There is also an option to receive a receipt by email on the online renewal form.

What to do with your old permit

Once you receive your new permit/s, it is important that the old permit/s are no longer used. You do not have to return the old permit/s to us but we advise you to write the word 'Void' across the front. You can then dispose of the old permit/s.
