Resident parking permit prices

Permits can be purchased for a duration of 3, 6 or 12 months. There are separate prices for first permits, second permits and third or subsequent permits.

If you no longer need your permit, you can apply for a refund.

About our prices

Permit prices are based on:

• The hours of operation of the Controlled Parking Zone
• The duration of the permit
• Whether the permit is the first, second or subsequent for the household
• The date of first registration and engine CO2 emissions (for discounted car tax band A vehicle permits only)

Band A vehicles

Band A vehicle permits are 50% of the normal charge, other than in existing experimental CPZs where they are free.

The introduction of a charge for Band A vehicles has affected the charge for some permit holders. If you think your permit is incorrectly ranked email parkingpermits@richmond.gov.uk.

Refunds

If you no longer need your resident parking permit, you can cancel it online.

Permit refunds are calculated as the original price paid, divided by the number of months. This is multiplied by the number of months remaining on the permit at the time it is surrendered to the Council. A £10 administration fee will then be deducted.
