My Account

If you are a landlord who owns properties in Richmond, regardless of whether you are a resident here yourself or not, you can let your property through us and take the stress out of the process.

Eligibility

As long as you are able to provide standard paperwork for your property, such as a gas certificate and Energy Performance Certificate (EPC), you should be eligible.

Letting options

We currently have four options available to homeowners.

Private Sector Leasing

We can let and manage your property, guaranteeing your monthly rent and taking care of inspections and general repairs or maintenance.

A dedicated officer will assist you through the letting process and your lease with the Council will last three-and-a-half years.

Private Rented Sector Service

You can find a short-term and hassle-free tenancy for your property and agree rent based on the Local Housing Allowance.

You will benefit from us finding a suitable tenant for your property, with direct payments being requested to the landlord. Rent in advance and incentives are also payable.

Private Letting Agreement

With a Private Letting Agreement, you have the flexibility of leasing your property for two or three years with guaranteed rent while you provide the day-to-day management.

Empty property grants

Grants are available for homeowners to renovate your empty properties and bring them back into residential use.

Homeowners can enter into a five-year lease agreement with the council that will make you eligible for funding of up to £25,000 for one, two and three-bed properties.
