Celebrating the impact of BIG South London

BIG South London, is a partnership of organisations that has been working together for the last three years to boost innovation and growth right across South London. Since its launch in early 2021, BIG South London, working with partner Universities and Colleges, has developed a high-quality innovation support offer for the South London business community, supporting them to access funding, launch new products, invest in R&D collaborations, recruit local graduate talent, and establish longer-term collaborations. The programme has supported the development of over 80 new products and services resulting from the over 100 BIG-funded collaborations between university partners & businesses.

ClimateTech: Part 2 - Exploring the potential of retrofit

South London Retrofit Skills Summit

Merton Council will be hosting the South London Retrofit Skills Summit in collaboration with the South London Partnership and funded by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero.

Retrofit refers to any improvement work on an existing building to improve its energy efficiency, making it easier and cheaper to heat, and replacing fossil fuels with renewable energy. Retrofitting our buildings to improve energy efficiency and reduce energy demand is going to be key to meeting our net-zero targets.
