The Contemporary British Painting Prize

The Contemporary British Painting Prize is designed for all artists in the UK who are engaged in painting.

About the competition

The winner will receive a critical essay on their practice, a solo exhibition and a £2,000 purchase prize of their work which will then enter the Priseman Seabrook Collection of 21st Century British Painting.

The judges for the prize winner selection panel are:

  • Elena Dranichnikova, founder of the Moscow Art Collectors Group (MACS)
  • Alice Herrick Artist, curator and owner of the Herrick Gallery, London
  • Jessica Litherland, Visual Arts Producer, mac¬†Birmingham
  • Stephen Snoddy, Director, New Art Gallery Walsall
  • Nicholas Usherwood, Curator, Art Critic and Writer on Contemporary Art
