Orleans House has been lost to the passage of time, but once was an idyllic retreat, worlds away from the bustling city; a pastoral vision set beside the tranquil flowing river - horses and boats providing the main way in and out.
Equine Idyll is an exhibition inspired by archival dreamscape imagery relating to Orleans House and experimental lowtech moving-image technologies of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
Immersive projections reminiscent of magic lantern shows will act as a gateway to an earlier century, the heyday of Orleans House, giving the impression that a lost world has momentarily been recovered.
