Apprenticeships and traineeships at Orleans House Gallery

In partnership with other local heritage organisations, Orleans House Gallery is running a programme of Heritage Lottery Funded apprenticeships and traineeships focusing on heritage learning, interpretation, education and arts and community engagement.


We currently have 3 apprenticeship opportunities available:

Over 1 year apprentices will:

  • Get practical experience organising and preparing for new programmes, projects and education activities.
  • Learn new skills relevant for working in the cultural and heritage sector.
  • Gain new qualifications including Level 2/3 in Community Arts Management.

Trainee: Heritage Learning Participation and Interpretation

The traineeship is divided across Orleans House Gallery and at least one partner organisation to give a broad experience in the Arts and Heritage sector. Duties may vary depending on the partnership. At Orleans House Gallery, trainees will be based in the Arts Education team.

Over 6 months trainees will:

  • Develop and deliver arts education programmes for a range of audiences.
  • Understand how different heritage organisations work.
  • Learn new skills relevant for working in cultural and heritage education.
  • Participate in a bespoke training programme.
