Springtime Safari!

Springtime Safari took place on Sunday 30 April 2017 from 1.30 to 4.30pm in the wonderful grounds of Orleans House on Twickenham Riverside.

About the event

Springtime Safari brings wildlife and people together through environmental education and creative activity to inspire people to get to know the creatures they live around and to protect and support the natural environment and Richmond's green spaces.

Activities

  • A mini safari – discover and learn about the creatures that live in your environment
  • Take part in a family trail around the woodland grounds which will bring children face to face with nature and help them learn about a number of fascinating creatures including hedgehogs, bees, elvers, invertebrates and more
  • Get creative with professional artists and make nature-inspired arts and crafts in the Coach House at Orleans House Gallery
  • Outdoor storytimes with Richmond Library Service
  • South West London Environment Network (SWLEN) stall with information about how you can get involved with your local green space
  • Café open at Orleans Gallery

This event is a partnership project between South West London Environment Network and Orleans House Gallery sharing the excitement and the importance of nature and biodiversity in Richmond Borough.
