About the Search Results screen

The Search Results screen produces a list of results based on the search criteria you typed into the search box.

The search term that you used will be highlighted in yellow. The search engine will also give you the number of web pages or documents it found and highlight these under "Search Results". For example, a search for "Business Rates" returned 604 results. These are listed by relevance - the amount of times your search term may appear in the page, document or in the metadata.

The web page in the search result list will be underlined. This will be a hyperlink and you can follow the link to view the web page.

Quick Links

We have introduced a "Quick Links" feature to the search engine which directs common search terms and phrases to the relevant page or area on our website.

Using the example of "Business Rates", this will return two quick links, which indicate the most likely areas you may wish to look ar for more information. The first words in the list are a hyperlink.
