Admission arrangements for 2013/2014

The Council's Cabinet determined the admission arrangements for 2013/2014(pdf, 111KB) at its meeting on 15 March 2012. The arrangements make one major change from previous years' arrangements: the 'linked school' criterion for admission to Grey Court, Orleans Park and Teddington has been removed and 'home to school distance' will instead be the main criterion for allocating places at those schools.

From Tuesday 15 November 2011 until Friday 13 January 2012, the Council consulted upon the 2013/2014 admission arrangements for community schools within the borough.

Read the full consultation document(pdf, 129KB) relating to the overall arrangements and a shorter document(pdf, 557KB) relating solely to the proposed removal of the ‘linked school’ criterion.

All the responses received by the closing-date are contained within the response document(pdf, 757KB). A summary of responses regarding the proposed removal of the linked school criterion can be downloaded here: linked school consultation summary(pdf, 43KB).

Richmond upon Thames Admissions Forum considered the responses at its meeting on 6 February 2012 and voted to recommend to the Council's Cabinet that the proposal be implemented.
