Chaperone licences

All children licensed by a local authority to perform must be supervised at all times by a licensed chaperone/matron or the child’s parent.

Chaperones are licensed by the local authority in which they reside and are subject to an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) disclosure.
