Bank Holiday recycling and waste collection days one day later

Following the Bank Holiday on Monday 27 August, household waste and recycling collections will be one day later than usual, with Monday’s collections taking place on Tuesday and so on.

Collections which would normally be carried out on Friday 31 August will take place on Saturday 1 September. There will however be no change to the normal collection day for businesses that use Richmond Council’s Commercial Waste and Recycling Service.

Normal collections will resume the following week on Monday 3 September. Residents are asked to put recycling and refuse out by 6am on collection day but not to leave it on the streets the day before, to avoid bags being ripped and to keep roads clean and tidy.

Waste should be put out in securely tied sacks or in a bin with a lid which stops the bin from becoming waterlogged and reduces fox attacks.

For all enquiries about collections, please telephone 08456 122 660.
