Volunteering at Orleans House Gallery
Volunteers play a vital role in the running of Orleans House Gallery. In return they enjoy the pleasure of working in beautiful surroundings by the River Thames, and the knowledge that they are making a contribution to the provision of arts and the enrichment of the life of the local community.
Volunteers fulfil a number of roles:
- Managing the reception desk in the main gallery
- Supporting Curatorial staff
- Helping with exhibition changeover and various individual projects
- Invigilating the main gallery and the Stables Gallery
- Maintaining and improving our databases
- Assisting at events, Private Views and workshops
- Answering visitors’ enquiries, emails and phone calls
You can choose to work for one morning or one afternoon each week on a regular basis, or to be a member of our Volunteer Reserves.
Please note we would also like to hear from anyone interested in supporting our wonderful gardening team on Wednesdays.
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
While we have some needs during weekdays, we are desperately looking for volunteers who can help us during weekends.
If you would be interested you can complete the application form
(MS Word, 58KB) and send it to artsinfo@richmond.gov.uk or, to check available opportunities, phone Sheila Saphier or Mark de Novellis on 0208 831 6000.
Thanks for your interest and please do keep checking the website for new opportunities.
