Hate crime

There’s help and support available if you, or someone you know, is a victim of hate crime.

Hate Crime is defined as:

"Any incident, which may or may not constitute a criminal offence, which is perceived by the victim or any other person, as being motivated by prejudice or hate towards the victim because of their race, religion, sexual orientation, gender or the fact they have a disability."

If you feel that you’re being targeted in this way you should report the incident to the police and they’ll deal with it. Hate incidents and crimes can have a damaging effect on people and on local communities and need to be reported so that others can be protected.
