Richmond Town Centre project

Improvements between The Quadrant and Church Road (including Richmond Railway Station)

The works comprise part of the ongoing Richmond Town Centre Improvement scheme and are due for completion in March 2013.

The works comprise footway improvements, the provision of a signalised pedestrian crossing at the station, reconstruction of the existing steps, the pedestrianisation of the station forecourt, the repositioning of the existing bus stops and taxi rank and the upgrading of the existing traffic signals at Church Road.

The works aim to enhance facilities at the station and between the station and The Quadrant, provide a safe and convenient pedestrian crossing and improve traffic flows through the town.
