How we are performing
Our performance
We continually monitor how well the Council is performing against targets and milestones it has set itself, and steps are taken to address any areas where progress is not satisfactory. Our performance is compared with other Local Authorities to ensure that we provide services as efficiently and effectively as possible.
Reports on our performance are published to enable residents to consider whether the Council is delivering local priorities.
Quarterly reports
We produce quarterly reports on our performance, which are considered by Elected Members of the Cabinet and Overview and Scrutiny Committees, and by our Senior Management Team at Executive Board.
Annual performance report
Our annual report details progress in delivering our corporate priorities.
Local Performance Framework
The local performance management framework has been developed to present progress against meaningful measures, which enable residents to hold the Council to account for the delivery of local priorities.
Adult Social Care Local Account 2010/11
Adult social care departments used to produce a self assessment each year for the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and were given a star rating. This was abolished a couple of years ago and instead councils are now expected to publish a ‘Local Account’ each year. This account provides a meaningful way to report back to local residents on performance in adult social care.
