Parents will have access to a free programme of activities this summer at the borough’s children’s centres.
Young children under eight years old will have the chance to take part in fun and educational activities such as story telling sessions, outdoor play and arts classes. As well as the full schedule for young children there will also be a programme for parents including family counselling, dad only days, baby workshops and much more during the holidays.
Councillor Christine Percival, Strategic Cabinet Member for Education, Youth and Children’s Services said:
“We all know how important it is to spend time with the family and have fun in the summer holidays. Messy play sessions, baby massage and dozens of other activities will be on offer to parents and their children this summer. It’s a great way to meet other families and have fun locally for free.
“I encourage every resident to see what’s on at their local children’s centre when they’re planning their holiday activities.”
Richmond Council has children’s centres in Ham, Whitton, Barnes, Hampton and Twickenham. For more information visit the Children's Centre page or contact the Family Information Service on 020 8831 6298.
