Appeal for groups to fund raise through Re-ward Club

Community groups in Richmond upon Thames have until the end of August to sign up to become official partners of Re-ward Club.

The loyalty scheme rewards customers who buy second-hand, mend or hire things instead of buying new. When shopping in participating businesses, members receive tokens which can be saved up to earn money off vouchers to spend or donate to one of three Partner Community Groups.

Re-ward Club is now appealing for community groups to apply to be one of the three official Community Partners eligible to receive voucher donations. The donations will provide money for the group and raise their profile within the borough and beyond.

Cllr Virginia Morris, Richmond Council Cabinet Member for Environment, said: “This is a great scheme and I hope more community groups embrace it. Re-ward really encourages recycling and any community group that joins will benefit from publicity, helping increase awareness and hopefully an increase in custom.”

To apply to be a Community Partner, call 020 8150 9546, email contact@re-ward.me or visit www.re-ward.me by Friday 31 August.
