Richmond upon Thames Partnership Workshop

These events have now past.

October 2011 workshop

The Richmond upon Thames Partnership held the second of its bi-annual workshops at RFU in Twickenham, on 21 October 2011.  Partners from the private, public and voluntary sectors took part in three interactive workshops looking at:

  • How we can work collaboratively with our local community
  • What we can do to deliver on the priority issues for residents
  • How we will operate in the future as a partnership

The Partnership also heard from For Sanity’s Sake(pdf, 388KB), a social enterprise run by volunteers providing activities and events for parents and young children in the borough, and Make a Difference(pdf, 397KB), a community interest company running a community hub and delivering sports, cultural, education and training programmes for young people in Milton Keynes.

View the notes from this workshop(pdf, 82KB). The key issues raised in each interactive workshop will be incorporated into the borough’s Village Plans and overarching Community Planning process.

The Partnership team would like to thank all those partners who gave up their time to attend the event. Your contributions are essential in building on existing partnership successes.

July 2011 Workshop

The Richmond upon Thames Partnership held the first of its bi-annual workshops at Cole Court in Twickenham, on Tuesday, 5th July 2011, attended by over forty partner organisations from across the borough representing the private, public and voluntary sectors.

The workshop was opened by Councillor Fleming, Cabinet Member for Community, Business and Culture, and began with presentations from each of the thematic partnership groups who spoke about their achievements over the last year, the changes they have experienced and the challenges ahead.

Workshops then followed which focused on identifying how we can:

  • Balance community priorities with evidence base knowledge
  • Enable residents to hold us to account against delivery of priorities
  • Engage better with communities and encourage and support them to address local issues
