Launch of new youth magazine
Outskirts, the borough’s first magazine to be written by young people for their peers has been launched by Richmond Council.
Over the past three months, fifteen young people aged 11 to 19 have been working as part of an editorial team as journalists, photographers to produce the publication.
Overseen by Richmond Council’s Integrated Youth Support Service, the magazine will look at major issues that matter to local young people. It will be produced quarterly and delivered to every home and school in the borough.
The young people involved in the production of this magazine are:

- Olivia Dunne (Teddington)
- Rebekah Venn (Shene)
- Rhiannon Jones (Greycourt)

- Talia Alkubaisi (Richmond College)
The magazine has been made possible by funding from the Youth Opportunities Fund, Youth Clubs in the borough and the Jack Petchey Foundation.
The name of the magazine, 'Outskirts' - was suggested by Talia Alkubaisi and voted on by young people in the borough.
