Take the opportunity to get fit and healthy this spring by taking part in the borough’s health walks, run by Richmond Council’s Health Development Team.
The walks are led by a team of award-winning volunteers who provide encouragement and advice and ensure everybody is walking at a pace that is comfortable to them.
Ten new evening and weekend routes, as well as an additional Monday session, have been added to the existing programme to give those who work the opportunity to take part.
The walks take place in variety of venues across the borough, including Richmond and Bushy Parks, and will run throughout spring and summer.
They are free and people of all ages and fitness levels are encouraged to attend.
Richmond Council’s Cabinet Member for Adult Services, Health and Housing, Cllr Denise Carr, said:
“This is a marvellous opportunity for residents to get themselves fit and healthy this spring and summer, as well as enjoying the beautiful surroundings of some of the borough’s parks.
“Our walk leaders do a superb job and will make sure that whatever your level of fitness, you will be walking at a pace that suits you.
