The Council-run Riverside Gallery is set to come alive with colour over the next two months, with a new exhibition from local artist Ruth Wurzburger.
The Sensation of Colour is an abstract display of paintings and three-dimensional works, dealing with vibrant colours to express emotion and contemplation.
Ruth explores the symbolic properties of colour to represent activity, vitality, stimulation and mood. Through her art she aims to engage the viewer and trigger feelings and moods using the purity and simplicity of colour.
Cllr Liz Jaeger, Cabinet Member for Youth, Culture and Leisure on Richmond Council, said:
“I am delighted that Ruth is returning to exhibit in the borough in this exclusive Riverside Gallery exhibition. Her vibrant artwork is very contemporary and I know it will provide an uplifting experience for those who visit the Gallery.”
The Sensation of Colour exhibition runs until 30 August and is free.
