Celebrity poetry night to raise funds for Mayor's charities

Actors Isla Blair and Julian Glover, author Lee Langley and TV presenter Mark Curry will join the Mayor of Richmond upon Thames, Cllr Marc Cranfield-Adams, for a fundraising poetry night on Sunday 11 May.

The celebrity guests will join the Mayor and friends in reciting their favourite lines of verse at The Mary Wallace Theatre, The Embankment, Twickenham.

Tickets cost £20 will all proceeds will go to the Twickenham branch of Diabetes UK and Stepping on Out, a Teddington-based charity run by people with learning disabilities. The event starts at 7.45pm.

The Mayor said:

”I am delighted that famous figures from the big and small screen will be joining me to help raise money for my two excellent charities.

“It is sure to be a very entertaining evening and I hope as many people as possible come and enjoy it with us.

“I urge people to book tickets early to avoid disappointment.”
