New Controlled Parking Zones for Mortlake (Zone M) and Teddington (Zone T)
From Monday 19 May 2008 new parking restrictions will be introduced in parts of Mortlake, and from 16 June 2008 new parking restrictions will be introduced in parts of Teddington. For further information please see the Controlled Parking Zone changes page.
New Parking Regulations
On 31 March 2008 new regulations were introduced in England and Wales that saw the first nationwide changes to on-street parking since 1993. The new legislation governing all parking enforcement within the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames and throughout the country is the Traffic Management Act 2004 (TMA 2004), which replaces the Road Traffic Act 1991 (as amended).
