The benefits of applying online
Online admissions are managed through a secure London-wide portal and you will automatically receive email acknowledgement of your application.
Applying online will:
- Speed up the application process
- Enable you to search for schools
- Enable online validation of data, thereby minimising the likelihood of data input errors
- Reduce paperwork
- Reduce postage costs and
- Enable you to find out the outcome of their application by logging on to the secure website in the evening of the offer-date, rather than waiting for the letter to be delivered the following day.
You can still apply in the traditional way, on a paper application form, if you wish, but applying online will give you peace of mind that your form has been received. Most applicants for school places in Richmond Borough apply online as it is the easiest way to apply.
You must read the relevant admissions brochure before making an application.
You must apply to the council in whose area your child lives. If you wish to state preferences for schools outside your home council's area, your home council will co-ordinate your application by exchanging data with the councils in whose areas those schools are located.
