Landmark Arts Centre announce April arts programme

Residents of all ages can sign up for a number of exciting five to six week courses launching from mid-April. 

Animation for Beginners

This five week course held on Monday evenings from 15 April is open to young people aged 10 and over. Participants will learn the 12 fundamental Principles of Animation, and by the end of the course should be able to create a short animation in a hand-drawn or flipbook form, or in clay or stop-motion style.

Creative Writing for Beginners

This five week course held on Monday evenings from 15 April is open to all adults interested in learning more about the craft of writing and the world of publishing. You'll be able to share your work with other writers in a safe, supportive environment.

Mixed Media - Find Your Creative Voice

This five week course held on Monday afternoons from 15 April is designed to help both beginners and improvers explore their creative side while learning about multimedia techniques like mark making, printing, painting, collage and colour planning to create an A3 work of art.

Illustrating British Butterflies

This five week course held on Monday afternoons from 15 April is open to all adults who love drawing and painting and find butterflies fascinating. It will cover depictions of butterflies in a range of media, as well as observation techniques and accurate drawing methods employed in illustration.

Victorian Photography Workshop

This six week course held on Tuesday evenings from 16 April is open to all adults interested in photography and will cover the important developments in early photography. It will give participants the chance to learn about and try out the processes of Victorian photography, using replica cameras and genuine Victorian-era lenses.
