Kickstart your new year with advice on building healthier habits this winter

10 January 2024

Our Community Health Bus is back in multiple locations this January! Come and have a chat with a local health expert for tips on staying healthy and active, support to stop smoking, advice on home energy efficiency and receive your COVID-19 or flu vaccine, if eligible.

The Health Bus will be out and about at the following locations, days and times:

  • Monday 15 January 2024 - from 10am to 3pm at Sainsbury’s, Lower Richmond Road, TW9 4LT
  • Thursday 25 January 2024 -  from 9am to 3pm at177 Ashburnham Rd (outside Kanset pharmacy), Ham, TW10 7NR

A local pharmacist will be available to provide tips on staying healthy, active and well during the cold months, and will be administering COVID-19 seasonal and flu jabs to those who are eligible. A representative from Richmond’s Stop Smoking Service will be on board to support with local resources to help you kick your smoking habit, and Thinking Works will also be on hand to offer advice on keeping your home warm and energy efficient.

If you have a question about your health, or want to seek advice on behalf of your family, someone you care for or a friend, do come along and ask one of our friendly health experts.

You can also pick up a free box of COVID-19 tests on your visit.

Please note that only adult winter vaccines are being offered on the Health Bus. For information about childhood vaccines, speak to your GP or School Immunisation Service, visit the Hounslow and Richmond Community Healthcare Trust website or call 020 3691 1019/1042.
