Career support for Richmond residents

Community news on behalf of Room for Work | 3 January 2024

Whether you're looking to re-enter the workplace or seeking a career change, local charity Room for Work provides solid career support delivered in a friendly, local environment.

This January, the charity will present a free career development course for Richmond residents. The programme is for jobseekers aged 45 and over, with work experience ranging from administrative to managerial and professional roles.

You will be with likeminded people, using the power of community to build motivation and confidence. Course participants learn current job search techniques with an emphasis on networking, developing social media skills, improving CVs, and practising competency-based interviews.

Tailored one-to-one mentoring is provided by the course leader. Follow-up coaching support is also available.

To attend, participants will need: a laptop or tablet; access to the web; a good working knowledge of English and basic computer skills.

The 12 week course is presented at Duke Street, Richmond, TW9 1DH on Tuesdays from 10am to 12.30pm, starting 9 January and running to 26 March 2024. Register to save your place.
