Make the most of July with these summer fairs

Throughout July there will be a range of exciting festivals taking place across the borough that show how we are working to make our public spaces more people friendly and celebrate our historic heritage.

This month, we’re focusing on what we’re doing to make the borough a nice place to be and what better way than getting involved in a local event.

Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival

Richmond Upon Thames is the perfect place to easily escape the hustle and bustle and enjoy some fresh air.

Celebrating its 30th anniversary, the RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival returns by bringing a modern show to a historic setting, making it the perfect place to enjoy nature.

With a bonanza of glorious gardens and fabulous flowers, it’s the perfect time to visit the grounds and experience the heady scent of summer.

Barnes Fair

We want residents to be able to take part in leisure activities that meet your needs, that’s why it’s great that there’s something for everyone at Barnes Fair.

Run by the Barnes Community Association, it’s a great example of how resident come together to make the borough a nice place to be. With a carefully selected group of around 300 exhibitors offering fashion, jewellery, gifts and homeware for browsing, it’s a great chance to discover local luxuries. You’ll also find food and drink stalls from some of Barnes’ favourite bars and restaurants.

Surrey Food Festival

Businesses will be showcasing an exquisite range of food and drink to give you a taste of the local flavour. You’ll have the opportunity to meet traders who will be demonstrating and selling their products in the marketplace. Don’t worry, you can keep your little ones entertained in the kids zone whilst you indulge.

High Tide Festival

In Richmond upon Thames, we're improving accessibility to arts so you can live in a place where you can enjoy the history, culture and local events.

High Tide is a community-based music festival that gives you a fantastic way to enjoy the best local talent. From established bands to young performers, this free festival reignites the spirit of Eel Pie Island and brings music back to the heart of Twickenham.
