Calling all volunteers - trustees wanted for local charities

Community news on behalf of Richmond CVS | 9 August 2023

The borough’s annual volunteering event focused on trustee opportunities with local charities is back. Richmond CVS will host the Trustee Recruitment Evening on 20 September.

This free informal event is an opportunity to learn about this specialised form of volunteering. You can meet and hear first-hand from local charities about their work and their opportunities. The event is also a chance to get a flavour of the wealth of trustee roles currently available to help you consider if it could be something for you.

If you’re a strategic thinker, possibly with specialist skills such as marketing, finance, HR or business development, come and chat to over 20 amazing local charities who could benefit from your knowledge. The event is a brilliant way to gain an insight into the fantastic work taking place across the borough.

Every charity needs a range of skills and know-how to progress their development. A few hours a month and your ideas and knowledge, alongside their established experience, could be the key to their future success whilst giving you huge personal reward and satisfaction.

If you’re aged over 18 years, get information, insights and maybe inspiration whilst you fact-find without pressure or obligation.
