All in one survey results

1,135 people who responded to the All in One survey lived in Whitton and Heathfield.

Over three quarters of you (77%) were satisfied overall with your area as a place to live.

The things that were most important in making it a good place to live included:

  • 49% - Local parks and open spaces
  • 47% - Shopping in your local high street
  • 40% - Level of crime and anti-social behaviour
  • 28% - Public Transport
  • 26% - Library services

The things you identified that most needed improving in your area, included:

  • 46% - Shopping in your local high street
  • 35% - Condition of pavements
  • 23% - Traffic and/or levels of congestion
  • 22% - Condition of roads
  • 22% - Support for local businesses

Your village planning event

Nearly 200 people attended the All in One village planning meeting for Whitton and Heathfield. The event took place on Saturday 14 May 2011 in Murray Park Hall.

Residents were invited to review the results from Whitton and Heathfield. They also had the chance to share ideas with local Councillors, officers and other local organisations such as the Police and local Business Association about what could be done together to address the issues.
