Improve your health at York House

Free massages and musical therapy will be among the attractions at a health fair, being held at York House in Twickenham on Tuesday 10 November.

The event is designed for people with learning disabilities, carers and health care professionals, or those interested working in the sector.

Cllr Denise Carr, Cabinet Member for Adult Service, health and Housing on Richmond Council, is urging people to go, she said:

“From free blood pressure checks, to opportunities to try out relaxing therapies, this event offers a host of interesting ways to find out more about your health.

“It is also a good opportunity for people with learning disabilities, their families and carers to find about the services that are available in the borough, many of which are free.”

The event will include a range of stalls providing nutritional advice, first aid demonstrations, health check-ups, interactive sports classes and information about affordable leisure opportunities in the borough.

It is organised by Richmond Council in partnership with NHS Richmond and NHS Kingston and runs from 10am-1pm.

Entrance is free.
