Courses in schools

Our team of instructors works all year round to provide cyclist training to Year 5 and Year 6 pupils in all borough and some independent schools in Richmond. Our courses shadow the National Standards training, Levels 1 and 2 and take place during term time.

Level 1 (Year 5)

• The aims of this half day course are to :
• Teach basic awareness of safe cycling
• Assist non cyclists to learn to ride
• Show pupils how to look after their bikes
• Encourage the development of of cycling skills in preparation for on road training.

Level 2 (Year 6)

This week long course is taught predominantly on quiet roads. The aims are to :

• Reduce casualties among child cyclists
• Teach pupils how to ride safely on quiet roads
• Help pupils understand the rules of the road
• Show pupils how to look after their bikes
• Encourage more cycling.
