Abbottsmede Close CPZ

Following the implementation of changes to the South Twickenham Community Parking Zone (CPZ) earlier this year, the Council have received a number of requests from residents to review the changes to the operation of the CPZ in Abbottsmede Close.

In light of these requests, the Council is offering residents one of the following options:

• To maintain the CPZ in Abbottsmede Close as shown on the Option 1 drawing
• To maintain the CPZ in Abbottsmede Close, but remove the parking bay opposite No’s 1 to 5 and reinstate the single yellow line as shown on the Option 2 drawing
• To remove Abbottsmede Close from the South Twickenham CPZ. This will entail the removal of yellow lines and parking bays between No’s 1 to 8 Abbottsmede Close and will require the installation of CPZ zone entry/exit signs as shown on the Option 3 drawing

It is important for us to know your views in order to make an informed decision. All questionnaires should be returned by prepaid envelope to the Head of Highways and Transport, Civic Centre, 44 York Street, Twickenham, TW1 3BZ to be received on or by Friday 16 July 2010. The results will be reported to the Cabinet Member for Traffic, Transport and Parking in July 2010, following which further information will be posted to all affected properties advising of the decision.
