Who can apply for a commercial suspension or dispensation?
Public utilities companies needing to park or work in a restricted parking area (i.e. over parking bays or yellow lines) will need to arrange for the restrictions to be lifted to avoid parking penalties.
Private companies and individuals may also arrange for suspensions or dispensations if needing to do so for the purpose of
- Cleaning work
- Crane operations
- Access to sites
- Police security
- Removals
- Tree surgery
- Road works
- Storing plant and materials
- Filming
- Large deliveries
- Temporary structures.
How much will it cost?
Commercial suspensions, dispensations and skips will incur charges. Please contact The Parking Shop, details on the Parking contact details page, for pricing.
How do I pay?
Payment can be made either by
- Cheques made payable to 'London Borough of Richmond upon Thames'
- Invoice, which will be sent out at the end of the month.
How do I apply?
You can apply for a suspension by contacting The Parking Shop, details on the Parking contact details page. Please remember to include your contact details such as your telephone and fax numbers when applying.
Dispensations are awarded on a case-by-case basis and you should discuss your requirements with staff at The Parking Shop, details on the Parking contact details page.
If you are awarded a dispensation, you will be required to display a notice signed by you and stamped by the Council's contractor to prove validity.
