The Richmond Cycling Campaign are keen to get people cycling and have introduced a programme of easy group rides with no hills that are very social. If you want to get out and about on your bike, join one of these organised cycles on safe routes around the borough.

2010

  • Saturday, 16 October 2010: Isabella Plantation
  • Meet at Strawberry Hill Station at 10.10am

We cross the Thames at Teddington Lock then head through Ham to Richmond Park. A short but steep hill (walk if needed) takes us to the plantation with a display of autumn colours. After coffee break, overlooking Pen Ponds, we return through Kingston and along the tow path. 10 miles.

2011

  • Saturday, 15 January 2011: Chiswick House
  • Meet at Mortlake Station/Green at 10.30am

Across Chiswick Bridge (on shared footway) then around Dukes Meadows to Chiswick House where the grounds have been renovated . After a coffee break we return via Strand on the Green  and Kew Bridge. Only 6 miles plus a walk through the grounds.

  • Saturday, 19 February 2011: Isabella Plantation
  • Meet at Teddington Station at 10.15am

We cross the Thames at Teddington Lock then head through Ham to Richmond Park. A short but steep hill (walk if needed) takes us to the plantation to look for signs of spring. We return through Kingston and Bushy Park. 10 miles.

  • Meet Strawberry Hill Station at 10.10am

We join the River Crane path up to the Nature Reserve then down the Crane to the Thames and back via Twickenham. 9 miles and mostly flat.
