Using the Richmond Card for leisure

The London Borough of Richmond upon Thames has several council managed sport and fitness centres that offer gym facilities, sports pitches/grounds, badminton/tennis courts, swimming pools and much more.

Existing leisure or gym members

If you previously had a Leisure Card or gym membership card, you can use your new Richmond Card to access these services.

New leisure or gym members

You can add leisure services to your Richmond Card. There are 2 types of leisure services, either of the following can be added to your Richmond Card:

Annual leisure subscription

Gym membership

Pay As You Go memberships:

  • This entitles you to use one of our sports and fitness centre paying for each session separately.
  • A paid induction must be completed before using any of the fitness equipment.
  • Prices will vary depending on the sports and fitness centre.
  • Additionally by paying for an annual Leisure subscription, you will be entitled to further discounts and offers.

Membership paid by monthly direct debits:

  • This entitles you to use one of our sports and fitness centre with different types of membership to suit your requirements.
  • Gym membership prices are dependent on the fitness centre for both direct debits and pay as you go charges.
  • Prices will vary depending on the sports and fitness centre.
  • Additionally you will automatically receive a free annual leisure subscription, you will be entitled to further discounts and offers.

Leisure and Youth Richmond Card

Anyone aged 0-19 years or 0-25 years with a disability can sign up for a free Leisure and Youth Richmond Card if they either live, work, go to school or are registered at a youth centre within the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames.
