Commercial noise
The Commercial Environmental Health Team has a duty to investigate allegations of nuisance relating to commercial premises. Noise complaints form the bulk of all complaints to Commercial Environmental Health however we also deal with smoke, odour, premises in poor condition and some pest control issues.
Enquiries relating to noise from a neighbouring domestic residence are dealt with by the Residential Services Team.
We also regulate some industrial sites by permitting their operation as particular processes have the potential to cause pollution.
We currently authorise 21 processes to operate under the Environmental Protection Act 1990 (Part B).
