How to report crime
Emergency situations
In an emergency, (defined as if a crime is happening now or someone is in immediate danger), call 999.
Non-emergency situations
In a non-emergency, telephone your local Safer Neighbourhood Team or Richmond upon Thames Police on 101.
Online reporting
In the Greater London area (which includes Richmond borough), you can now report some types of crime online, providing an urgent response is not needed.
Reporting a crime anonymously
If you have information about a crime which you would prefer to report anonymously, phone Crimestoppers free on 0800 555 111 or use their online form.
If you suspect terrorist activity
Ring the anti-terrorist hotline confidentially on 0800 789 321.
Graffiti reporting
Graffiti is a criminal offence. If you are a victim or witness of graffiti, report it first to the police.
