Swimming Lessons
at Teddington Pools & Fitness Centre
Individual Lessons
1-2-1 and 1-2-2 swimming lessons can be arranged with swimming instructors at Teddington Pools and Fitness Centre. Please contact reception on 020 8977 9911 for more information and availability. Lessons are 30 minutes in duration and prices start from £15 per lesson for a 1-2-1 junior lesson or £18 for a 1-2-2 junior lesson.

- Junior Lessons (11 weeks)
Run from Monday 9 January to Saturday 31 March 2012 - Adult Lessons (6 weeks)
Courses held on Mondays and run in 6 week blocks - contact reception for course dates
These lessons cease during half term (13-18 February 2012).
Course information
Junior lesson minimum required standard:
- L1A/B: Beginner
- L2A/B: Able to swim 5m
- L3A/B: Able to swim 5m on front and on back
- L4: Able to swim 10m on front and 5m on back
- L5: Able to swim 10m on front and on back
- L6: Able to swim 10m all strokes
- L7: Able to swim 25m all strokes, with basic techniques
- L8: Able to swim 25m with efficient strokes and 10m butterfly
- L9: Able to swim 50m, with 2 efficient strokes, breaststroke / butterfly leg kick
- L10: Able to swim 150m, plunge dive / tumble turns
- L11: Able to tread water for 1 minute and 10 minutes swim continually with efficient technique
Adult lessons:
- A1: Beginners (in small pool)
- A2: Intermediate (in large pool)
- A3: Advanced (in large pool)
How to book
Please print and complete a booking form(pdf, 244KB) and take in person to Reception at Teddington Pools & Fitness Centre on the relevant booking dates:

Payment must be made at the time of booking. Only payment by cash or cheque will be accepted on booking days. Postal and telephone bookings will not be accepted.

Notes
- All classes are for 30 minutes duration (both adult and junior)
- Badges are not included in course fee and cost £2.60 each
- Children are permitted to wear goggles in lessons, but will not be permitted to wear them during their assessment
- Please be advised that goggles do affect children's confidence and could adversley affect their assessment if they do not practice without goggles
- No free swimming permitted before or after lessons
- We reserve the right to alter this lesson timetable subject to demand
- No postal or telephone bookings will be accepted
- No pushchairs in the changing rooms please
- No parents/guardians permitted on poolside during lessons
- Cash or cheque payment only accepted on booking days
